Stanford University

Stanford University is a private examination college in Stanford, California, and one of the world's most prestigious institutions.
Stanford was established in 1885 and is located next to Palo Alto, CA about 20 miles north of SJC and 30 mi from SFO. It is world-renowned research university, known for its unique breadth in a wide variety of areas. The University's scholarly facilities are sorted out into seven schools, with a several different holdings, for example research center and nature reserves, situated outside the fundamental campus. The University is probably the best fundraising institution in the country raising as much as 1 billion dollars in a year.

Students contend in 36 different sports, and the University is one of two private colleges in the Division I FBS Pacific-12 Conference. It has won alot of awards and championship thropies.


The campus is one of the largest universities out there. It stretches for miles, and it will take the whole day and maybe even more if you want to explore all that the campus has to offer.
If you decide to ever visit Stanford, there are a number of sights and things to do. The first thing you should do is going along palm drive, and taking some pictures around the center of campus by the church and main quad. There are guided tours that take you around to the different sections of campus.

Undergraduates are guaranteed housing for at least 3 years and there are many different housing options. The draw isn't very easy, but there are so many different options that are all fairly good options. They also do a good job about pairing roommates for freshman year.

Pros
Great housing options, majestic and beautiful building, alot of different courses and sports, it is not very difficult to get a degree.

Cons
Medium education level, you can easily get lost there, quite expensive.
